A great starting point for students to take to the water for the first time. We will practise basic boat controls which includes stopping and starting using the rudder to steer and using the mainsheet. Tacking beam reach to beam reach will be the goal. The instructor will demonstrate a capsize recovery drill before launching for the first session.                                         \n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <div class=\"column mcb-column one-second column_image\">\n                                    <div class=\"image_frame image_item no_link scale-with-grid no_border\">\n                                        <div class=\"image_wrapper\">\n                                                                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n                                                            <div class=\"carousel-item\">\n                                    <div class=\"column mcb-column one-second column_column white-text\">\n                                    <div class=\"column_attr clearfix align_left mobile_align_left\">\n                                        <div class=\"itinerary-carousel-day-heading\">Day 2<\/div>\n                                        \n                                        Day 2 starts with sailing around a figure of eight course. When coming in for lunch we will have a closer look at securing a boat to a trolley. In the afternoon, we will practise a capsize recovery drill so that all sailors are comfortable when the boat tips over. Safety always remains paramount as the sailor builds up confidence. We will progress to sailing upwind towards the wind for the first time.                                        \n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <div class=\"column mcb-column one-second column_image\">\n                                    <div class=\"image_frame image_item no_link scale-with-grid no_border\">\n                                        <div class=\"image_wrapper\">\n                                                                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n                                                            <div class=\"carousel-item\">\n                                    <div class=\"column mcb-column one-second column_column white-text\">\n                                    <div class=\"column_attr clearfix align_left mobile_align_left\">\n                                        <div class=\"itinerary-carousel-day-heading\">Day 3<\/div>\n                                        \n                                        Towards the middle of the week we will have a review of days 1 and 2 as well as covering the 5 essentials of sailing a dinghy and the different points of sail. We will continue to learn and refine your sailing skills by looking at sailing around a triangle course. We will look at basic knot tying and where they can be used on the boat.                                        \n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <div class=\"column mcb-column one-second column_image\">\n                                    <div class=\"image_frame image_item no_link scale-with-grid no_border\">\n                                        <div class=\"image_wrapper\">\n                                                                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                    <\/div>\n                                <\/div>\n                                                            <div class=\"carousel-item\">\n                                    <div class=\"column mcb-column one-second column_column white-text\">\n                                    <div class=\"column_attr clearfix align_left mobile_align_left\">\n                                        <div class=\"itinerary-carousel-day-heading\">Day 4<\/div>\n                                        \n                                        On day 4, we will review the 5 essentials and points of sail to grow our knowledge and their applications to different wind conditions. The instructor will demonstrate gybing onshore before going afloat and putting it into practice. We will integrate the gybing manoeuvre into a triangle course. You will look at basic situations of rules of the road such as two dinghies on separate tacks coming towards each other.
